ROLL UP ROLL UP!! MONSTER HOODIES FOR ONE AND ALL!

Sat Oct 24, 2009, 3:17 PM
Exclamation points make everything more exciting, it's true!

WELL then, this is the set up:
You send me a hoodie that you want doing up, and for $25 your beloved sweater will be kitted out with

2 Eyes
2 Nostrils
8 Teeth
8 Claws
and (if you want it)
1 Heart

Here is an example:

that's a kiddie sweater who's sleeves end too quickly to add claws, so here's an example of a clawed sweater:

Right now I'm taking three orders, and these first three buyers will receive a character bust drawing from me as well.
Again, what you pay is $25, plus $1 for shipping.

So if you're interested in a Monster Hoodie (AND a free drawing), note me and we'll get it sorted. Oh! and as far as payment goes, I accept both Paypal and money orders (and perhaps one day, boxes of baked goods c; )
cheers!

are we drinking or dancing tonight?

Mon Sep 14, 2009, 1:47 PM
or both? Although It's a dangerous combination.

Well, cousins, I've been busy busy busy. I've started school again (haha, community college, but what can you do, eh? I'm seeking a double major as gold prospector/cab driver.) I'm going to be part of a local craft sale/fair deal on October 3rd, so I've been sewing like a madman getting ready for it. I'm doing a whole series of HALLOWEEN beasties that you guys are gonna LOVE- I can't wait to show you all :D
And I've been writing again! I finally sat down and got the very beginning of the Sawbones story done. I've attempted writing the beginning about a thousand and one times, and now I FINALLY have it! The story has changed so much and it's really, really exciting to see how all the characters grow and interact and go backpacking and have car-chases and try to deceive each other c;
I haven't been doing a ton of drawing these past weeks, as a result of doing more crafting/writing/reading, but I have rather a lot of cleaned-up sketches; do you guys want to see 'em?

I know I've been really quiet on the dA front, but once things settle down I'll be back in full force.

You guys make me happy, I hope you've all been doing swell.

ETSY and custom plush commissions!

Wed Aug 19, 2009, 7:13 PM
The etsy. It is here: [link]
Some plushies are there now. There will be more. You shall be held in great suspense over the coming days.

And CUSTOM PLUSHIES!!! Aren't you excited? I'M excited! I'm working on two examples of what character plushies will look like so I'll have those up for you soon, but in the mean time, if you're at all interested in a random and fun itfollowedmehome plush, this is what the general pricing looks like:

Smaller plushies (7-10 inches tall) like Ingo [link] cost $15-20. That's pretty much the smallest I make.

The largest of my plushies (think Phinneus [link] and Ourse [link]) range between $40-50.

Anything falling in between the largest and smallest sizes will of course be priced accordingly, so size is pretty much based on how much you're wanting to spend. An example of this would be this fellow [link] . He's what I'd consider a medium-ish size (haha, general much?) and he would normally sell for $30.

I like to be flexible with sizes and styles, so if there's a particular "look" you like, or if you want something that resembles a plush I've already made, do tell me! It's essentially an "anything goes" type deal.

Commissions for art and plushies are basically open indefinitely. I'll be updating my official commission information which will include new examples of what you can get, so be looking for that journal near the end of this week.

hello friends and neighbors

Wed Jul 29, 2009, 11:39 AM
So! I've been keeping quiet here for quite some time. I've barely been drawing this summer but I have three new plushies to show you guys (I'll try and upload pics of em later today) and I've been pushing myself to write more. I've started carrying around this little soft cover moleskine notebook and I just jot down ideas when they come to me- I know I are so artsy riiiiiiiggggggghhhhhttt? I am fearful of becoming one of those obnoxious pseudo-intellectual types who sit outside of coffee houses reading their alternative newspapers and smoking clove cigarettes and rejecting all modern conventions.
I'm working on getting an etsy and paypal account set up. I've opened a bank account and I'm just waiting to get my ATM card, so things are finally moving forward. When I get my etsy set up I'll post a link and will be selling all sorts of fun stuff, but mostly plushies. I am such a geek, I stayed up till about 3 last night brainstorming packaging ideas- tissue paper and custom stamps and business cards, oh my!! But the prospect of designing all that is VERY exciting :D
There's this five words meme I still need to do... god I am so behind here... and there's so much drawing I need to do! And trades!

I hope you've all been keeping busy and happy, and are having favorable July weather.

Rules
1) Post these rules
2) Post 8 true things about yourself
3) At the end you must tag 8 people and post their icons
4) Go to their page and send them a message saying you tagged them
5) NO TAG-BACKS

1.) I've been a pescetarian since the beginning of 2008 (it was my new year's resolution.)

2.) I go walking for an hour every evening and I feel restless and anxious if I don't.

3.) Last October I donated blood at my school and instead of going back to class when it was done I sort of wandered away down the street. I felt pretty okay but I had stayed up late the night before, and after walking for about twenty minutes I went and had a nap on someone's porch.

4.) I love tuxedo jackets, especially old style men's dinner jackets if the shoulders aren't too big. I found the best jacket (with TAILS for crying out loud) a week back, and it was old and looked amazing but good lord was it expensive. So I didn't get it :c

5.) I think pianos are fantastic. I have a keyboard that I noodle on, but old pianos are such beautiful instruments and have such incredible sound. My mom's friend has a Steinway and I go over to their house to play it every chance I get. I can play bits and pieces of songs, but I'm not really serious about it. I'd like to take formal lessons some day though...

6.) I really only enjoy swing dancing. I am some bizarre old lady at heart, but seriously, at the few school dances I went to I was like "wtf, how do people dance to this shit" and I was certainly NOT impressed.

7.) I have two older brothers and the three of us have always been really tight, and over time hanging out with them has given me a boyish sense of humor. Not crude, necessarily- I get really annoyed when people make stupid crude jokes, and I'll call them out for not being clever. That's my only qualification for any joke- you can say whatever you want so long as it's clever.

8.) This relates to number 7: most of my friends are boys. I still have girl friends, but not as many. I guess I'm more used to getting along with fellas, but I really don't like being "one of the guys."
